So just be aware of this unwritten rule and if you want to bring in your own beverage, have it packed well in your suitcase. I did lodge a complaint with customer service desk but have not had any feedback from management - nor do I expect it. Even Princess Cruises allows you to bring wine on board to enjoy in the privacy of your own room - so needless to say we were taken aback. I should note that this is not on their website, not posted in any public areas and we were not informed of this policy when checking in. When we went to get on the elevator, security stopped us and told us that no outside 'bottles' were allowed upstairs. The casino does apparently have a nonsmoking area but it's not well marked and we never did locate it.īut the biggest downside for us - after touring the area we had stopped in Temecula and purchased some coolers and a couple of bottles of wine to enjoy during our stay. Not inexpensive however as supper was $20 per person. The buffet was tidy and the food quality above average for a buffet. For those of us who enjoy spending some time in the casino, lots of penny and two penny machines to play on. The room was great - big comfortable king bed with an amazing bathroom with a soaker tub and separate shower. Front desk staff was friendly and courteous. The road in is narrow and winding but coming from the Canadian Rockies, this is not a problem for us. Pala Resort and casino is tucked away in the middle of nowhere.
